THE BEST FOODS FOR A HEALTHY AND STRONG MIND/BRAIN(1)




Is it wise to fight for a well trained body while neglecting our  mind?

I guess the answer is obvious.

After all most of us earn a living based on their minds' capabilities!

Our brains are both selective and energy demanding.

We have seen that a regular exercise regime helps a lot. A sound nutrition plan will help much more.

Before starting to cite the best foods for the brain, let's see 4 useful, general principles concerning brain foods:


1. Nothing is on its own a panacea. Good results come from synergies!

2. All foods that cause clogging of the arteries are bad choices for the brain. The biggest villain is trans fats.

3. All foods that cause wild fluctuations in the blood sugar are bad choices for the brain. Normally these are highly processed,high glycemic index foods.

4 . All foods containing antioxidants can fight oxidative stress everywhere in the body and therefore they are good choices for the brain.
