WEIGHT TRAINING : SOME TIPS ABOUT THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE

Right technique is of utmost importance as far as it regards weight training.

Do not sacrifice it in order to lift heavier weights than what you can comfortably handle. Egoism costs!

All repetitions - to the very last - must be performed under full control.

Avoid uncertain,jerky movements.

If you move too fast you will use momentum which means less stress on the muscles you want to train.

Try to exhale during the concentric phase of the repetition(lifting, pushing, negative phase) and inhale during the eccentric phase(lowering, pulling, positive phase).

A very good tempo - movement fastness- for amateur weight lifters should be:

- 2" for the concentric phase of the movement and
- 4" for the eccentric phase.

To your great health!
